What happens when coffee tries to get healthy? Well, you probably already saw the latte served in an avocado shell going around the internet.

But have you spotted the carrot latte? That's right. Coffee just went there.

At Local's Corner in Seaforth, Australia, you can now get your espresso fix in a hollowed out carrot. The carrot shot is a surefire way to get your daily dose of vitamins and energy. Plus, the tiny cup is edible, meaning there's less dish cleanup or to-go cup waste.

“We just like doing different things, we’ve being doing a few of these, one with an apple, one with an avocado, this week was a carrot and next week we will do something different,” cafe owner Vanja says.

But is the carrot cup all that practical? Not really. The crew at Local's Corner said it leaks quite a bit. But this new trend of edible cups is more about creating something new and fresh.

'It would be very hard to drink out of because it doesn't hold coffee well,' Vanja says

What do you think? Should produce-based cups become a thing? We're not sure about their place in the coffee world just yet, but we'd love to see fruit cups as edible shot glasses for liquor drinks.

Behold, the Carrot Latte in all it's tiny glory.
