In honor of the flower crown trend, designer Lauren Hom is making edible headwear. She calls them "Flour Crowns" and they're deliciously doughy. Consider these a delightful snack before festival crown season really kicks off.
What sparked this quirky food hobby? Puns. Plus a healthy appetite for carbs, obviously.
“To embrace my inner ‘weirdough’, I decided to take a pun way too far and made over 20 of these carby crowns while I was visiting home last month,” Hom says.
"Shout out to the real MVP Grandma Hom for letting me take over her kitchen and not so much as blinking an eye at her fully-grown granddaughter walking around the house with bread on her head. Most Chinese grandmas would be like, "Ugh this is why you're not married yet" but mine was all like, "How much did you pay for those croissants? I bet I can get them cheaper for you next time."
