This Is Passion. Powerful Photos Of Music Fans Around The World

Release The Crowd is a brand new photographic series by iconic Australian photographer Nic Bezzina.

Shot over 5 years and spanning 5 countries, his photographs document the fans, crowds and mayhem that took place over 11 heavy music festivals.

This project turns the camera away from the bands and focuses on capturing the emotion of the crowd, that amorphous, vibrating creature with a thousand faces. Revealing both the intensity that comes with letting go, as well as the close communities inside which fans can truly be themselves.

The compelling series sees him getting up close and person with the fans in the pit across music festivals Wacken (Germany) Download (UK) Sonisphere (UK) Bloodstock (UK) Hellfest (France) Primavera Music (Spain) Big Day Out (AU) Future Music (AU) Soundwave (AU) and Splendour In The Grass (AU).

I love photographing music festivals because I feel it's a place where people can be freed of their inhibitions.

Not only does his work provide a snapshot of passionate fans in the heat of the moment, in future years his images will serve as timeless reminder of the fashion and culture of generation. The remarkable series is available as a limited edition 140 page coffee table book right here.

There's only 2,000 copies available, so be sure to get in early to own this unique piece of music memorabilia, they won't last long!
