Dracula's Creepy Gothic Castle Is Up For Sale

Whilst the Dracula we all know (and fear) from movies and pop culture is the fictional work of Irish writer Bram Stoker, there was in fact a 15th-century Romanian general called Vlad III the Impaler, who was also known as Dracula.

It's believed that Stoker drew inspiration from the bloodthirsty Wallachian Prince himself.

The Romanian Prince posthumously given the nickname 'Vlad the Impaler' on account of his love and routine practice of impaling his enemies onto giant stakes and watching them slowly slide agonisingly down to their death.

It was a grisly sight to behold and one which successfully scared off future enemies, earning him a reputation as being one of the cruelest and violent leaders during his lifetime (1431-1476)

538 years since his death, his Romanian castle is now up for a sale. These days its slightly less intimidating and daunting, the alleged cruelty and crimes of the past have long between forgotten in amongst the daily hustle and bustle of tourists. Around 500K people visit the castle every year.

It's currently owned by the Romanian royal family, however, they have just listed it for sale. So if you have a spare $80,000,000 and feel like shacking up in one of the spookiest castle in Europe make sure you get in touch.

Just think of all the Halloween parties you could host there after dark....
