Stay In Finland's Epic "Game Of Thrones" Ice Palace For The Ultimate Fan Experience

Looking to take your love for Game of Thrones to the next level?

Book a stay at the GOT Snow Village in Finland. Nothing will ever be the same.

This incredible ice palace is made from 22,000 tons of snow and 400 tons of ice. Situated in Kittilä, an hour-and-a-half flight from Helsinki, the hotel is part of a yearly winter tradition where the town builds an ice palace.

But for this year's GOT collaboration with HBO Nordic, the team brought in a stellar line-up of ice sculptures from Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and Latvia. Once you see the inside of this place, you'll understand why all this prep was necessary.

The layout features an eerie Braavosi Hall of Faces, an Ice Throne with an Ice Mountain standing guard, and even a dragon-shaped ice slide! Additionally, the hotel includes 24 guest rooms of which 10 are luxurious suits featuring unique ice sculptures.

For those who care to sleep in the ice palace, temperatures hover at about 23 degrees Fahrenheit. Though frigid, that's pretty normal for a giant igloo. And not near as cold as the 10-degree winter weather just outside the walls.

Of course, guests are given sleeping bags and hot berry tea to weather the icy temperatures. But if you don't want to catch cold, the hotel recommends only spending one night in the ice castle and the rest in the cozy cabins nearby.

Tickets to visit the Snow Village are $18 USD and rooms start at $200 USD. The hotel will remain open through April 8.
