Colorful Origami Murals Inspired By Sacred Geometry

Annatomix is a self-taught painter from Birmingham UK who creates colorful origami murals on walls, leftover trash, and even stones.

Annatomix's vibrant work is inspired by more than just aesthetic. The artist finds fresh concepts by studying sciences, history, religion, and philosophy.

"I am using sacred geometry as the starting point to explore a broad range of themes that include; the creation of the universe,  evolution and extinction, repetition and cycles in history, the illusion of reality," Annatomix writes on her website.

Ever attentive to detail, the artist's work moves between medium's seamlessly. Annatomix is just as comfortable painting with a brush on canvas as painting a graffiti mural. No matter the medium, the trompe-l'oeil effect is ever present, bringing the origami creatures to life.

You can spot Annatomix's latest work in Sweden for the Artscape Festival or follow her work on Instagram.
