Trains In Taipei Now Look Like Sport Venues For The Universiade Games

This summer, Taipei City will host the 29th Summer Universiade Games from August 19th to the 30th. And in honor of the games, the Taipei MRT trains have been redecorated to look like the sporting complexes that will host the events.

Train cars are themed as track and field, soccer, baseball, swimming, and basketball, making the trains the perfect spot for a photo-op. Of all the designs, it's the swimming pool train that catches our eye most. The trompe l'oeil effect is downright uncanny!

The Universiade Games is an international sports competition for university athletes. The event is a pretty big deal, second to the actual Olympic Games. Over 70 venues have constructed or updated for the event which will all be converted for alternate uses after the event is over.
