Succulent Lip Art Isn't Practical, But It Sure Looks Fascinating

Succulent lip art? We definitely didn't see it coming. But with succulent nail art going around, it was only a matter of time before the plants migrated to our lips.

Succulent lip art is an experiment by makeup artist Ryan Kelly. She specializes in unique lip looks that would hardly make it through a meal.

But hey, they sure do look good! Her Youtube tutorials and Instagram are well known for their experimental, edgy style.

To create the succulent lip look, Kelly created a collection of the tiny plants using polymer clay. After baking the greenery, she applied a mint liner and then adhered the flowers with a liquid adhesive.

This lip look may not be practical, but it sure is eye-catching.

Check out Kelly's succulent lip art tutorial below for more inspiration.

Succulent Lips. When I saw @arozona's incredible succulent nail art (please go check out her page!) I searched everywhere for mini succulents. When I couldn't find any tiny enough I decided to make them out of clay (why do I do these things to myself?!? Lolol) 3 days later, here it is! Tutorial video will be posted tomorrow to show you how I made the succulents as well as how I stuck 'em on mah face! Hahaha. It's a weird one, I know, but I love it!!
