This Crane Treehouse Is A Carbon Neutral Oasis In The City

When Crane29 was built back in the 1950s, it looked and functioned like every other crane in Bristol Harbor. These days, it serves a totally different purpose – behold, the world's first "cranehouse" is now up for rental as an Eco-friendly B&B.

The tiny house sits 26 feet above the harbor, perched around the crane's body like a treehouse. It's designed to be carbon neutral and boasts Eco-friendly features like an electric shower and composting toilet.

The interior is decorated with sustainable materials like reclaimed wood, vegetable fiber rugs, plants, and tree branches.

Crane29 is the brainchild of Canopy & Stars, a team of glamping experts. The project took three years to plan, one week to build, and it's being rented out via lottery for $240+ per night.

All proceeds go to Friends of the Earth.
