Popsicles Made Of Taiwan's Polluted Water Show Just How Dirty It Really Is

The Polluted Water Popsicles project is a collection of over 100 pops that would never pass a food inspection. Behold, these are all the flavors you'll never want to sample.

The project is student lead initiative to raise awareness about Taiwan's water pollution. Water for the popsicles was gathered from a variety of sources including the Shenzhen river and putrid roadside ditches.

By freezing the water, pollutants are made more visible. Plastic garbage and bright dyes color the popsicles water, causing these frozen treats to all look different flavors. If they weren't labeled so clearly as sewage water pops, we might mistake these for artisanal desserts.
