This Guy Turns NYC's Trash Bins Into Giant Flower Vases

Artist Lewis Miller is turning New York City upside-down in a fresh and colorful way. Using his crafty horticulture skills, Miller converts nasty trash bins to colorful flower arrangements.

Miller calls this project Flower Flashes. Each arrangement is like a graffiti piece, minus the long-lasting chemical elements like spray paint or adhesives. Instead, everything about this project is eco-friendly and natural. Each arrangement is made of leftover flowers from Miller's shop, meaning nothing here is going to waste.

“Gifting flowers to New Yorkers is a simple idea that I have been thinking about for years,” Lewis says of his project. “I am in the business of fantasy and flowers, and it’s my job to transform key moments in my clients’ lives into joyful, everlasting memories. I wanted to recreate a similar feeling for the everyday city-dwellers and tourists of New York City.”
