Sean Charmatz's adorable illustrations infuse the most mundane moments with charm. By giving inanimate objects cartoon features, Charmatz breathes life into bags of trash, pencils, mops, mushrooms and more. No object is out of reach.

“The idea is that if you look close enough and take a moment to observe, you will see all of this,” Charmatz says of the series. “To me, there is magic in seeing a story that was already happening between objects. I feel the magic, so believe others will too.”

This is Charmatz's personal project. It's like a sketchbook filled with thoughts, doodles, and jokes. And if you didn't notice, he sticks to recurring themes. Totoro, The Simpsons, Spongbob, and smiling pencils rotate through his work regularly.

“It means a lot to me that people enjoy the work and that it has changed the way they look at the world,” he says. “I want my account to be a place where everyone can feel creative and be inspired.”
