Sam Barsky fell in love with knitting back when he was 24 years old. Knitting was the perfect hobby to take up after being forced to leave nursing school due to health issues. And now, after 15 years of practice, he's transformed into a knitting tycoon.

These days, Barsky is taking his custom sweater game to the next level by creating sweaters for famous landmarks and then wearing the piece on location. He's earned some pretty awesome shots.

Barsky's unique take on sweater fashion began when he started work on his third sweater. He had a vision for a unique design featuring images from nature but couldn't find a pattern to match.

“After making two solid-coloured sweaters, I knitted one from a pattern of a world map,” he says.

“I looked through patterns to decide what to do next, and didn’t like any. I had a vision of a sweater with a picture of nature on it, and thought I could just try to knit such a sweater without a pattern. I got to work, and though not the greatest piece of art, it was a success!” He adds: “The next one came out even better. Now I’ve made almost 90 of them.”
