Fly-Over Photos Of Colorful Salt Ponds Around The World

This series by David Burdeny captures the natural beauty of salt-making ponds around the world. These bodies of water disappear into the distance while trailing vibrant, patchwork patterns.

The Salt Series began as an interest in the pink lakes of Senegal. Over time, the series followed it's natural course and expanded to include landscapes in Australia, South America, and the United States.

“Beauty is of course subjective, but when something as pedestrian is scrapping salt off the ground is as fascinating to watch as a Japanese tea ceremony, I think it should be celebrated,” Burdeny says.

We couldn't agree more. These colorful salt ponds are nothing short of fascinating!
