Get Inspired By These Quirky Japanese Monster Cards From The 70s

These vintage Japanese playing cards are perfectly outdated and we love the vibe. The colorful illustrations of various man-eating monsters are perfectly kitsch.

We wouldn't mind getting our hands on this deck. It's an easy crowd-pleasure at your next party. Want to start the drinking games? Pull out this deck and you'll have everyone involved in no time!

This monster deck is from the 1970s and the creatures featured inside are classic killers from various 1970s TV shows. The deck was manufactured in Japan by the Kewpie Corporation which was actually a mayonnaise brand. Interesting combination, right?

Each monster illustration comes complete with identification tips, weight and height specifics, as well as information about its planetary origins. Basically, these were Pokemon cards before Pokemon became a thing.
