It can be nearly impossible to trick kids into eating their vegetables. But Melbourne-based mom Laleh Mohmedi seems to have mastered the technique. Her creative cartoon lunches are filled with fun, no matter what your age.

It all started back in 2015 when Mohmedi first got the idea to "disguise" healthy food in the shape of her 4-year-old son's favorite cartoon characters.

She started small, simply creating a pancake that looked like a lion. She snapped a picture and served it to her son, Jacob.

Of course, he loved it!

‘At the beginning I made him this lion, which looked more like a bear, and he just loved it,' Mohmedi tells Daily Mail Australia.

‘I’ve always been a big advocate for healthy and organic food.’

The process is fairly simple. Jacob usually tells Mohmedi which character he would like to see the next day and she begins researching. The goal is always to include as many colorful, fresh foods as possible. Oddly enough, cartoon characters are the perfect inspiration for her meals. Each character has so many colors!

Altogether, the preparation process takes about 25-35 minutes. And for Mohmedi, that's time well invested. She's always ready to put in the time and effort to ensure that Jacob is eating balanced meals.
