Van Gogh-Inspired Rickshaw Is The Coolest Thing You'll See Today

Do you remember our recent story covering the eye-catching interiors of Mumbai's taxi cabs? Bye bye tired old leather and dull tones, hello bursts of colour and interesting artwork! Those custom interiors were the work of Indian startup Taxi Fabric.

They've just collaborate with local artist Nasheet Shadani to help decorate the inside of an ordinary auto rickshaw in Delhi. He was given free reign to decorate the seats, side panels and ceiling as he wished - which Taxi Fabric would then print and produce the final design. Nasheet decided to opt for a vibrant interpretation of Van Gogh's magical Starry Night painting - full of movement and colour.

To tie the design back to Delhi he also weaved Humayun’s Tomb into the scene itself. The landmark is the tomb of Mughal Emperor Humayun in Delhi, India. It's a significant building in Delhi's history and popular tourist destination today.

"I drew inspiration from Delhi’s rich history and Mughal heritage. I believe my design encompasses the true spirit of Delhi.”

Head over to Taxi Fabric to see all kinds of unique and interesting scenes, each designed to make your next ride vastly more interesting!
