This Awesome South African Treehouse Was Built In the Middle Of London

Virgin Holidays have built a South African inspired treehouse on London’s Southbank to promote travel to the southern country. This cozy accommodation is probably the most plush treehouse we've ever seen.

Inspired by the Lion Sands Game Reserve accommodation in South Africa, this awesome treehouse rests 35-feet above the ground and provides one of the unique view of the Thames river. Unfortunately, the structure is only a temporary instillation. It will be taken down after three weeks.

“The biggest challenge with this project was evoking the feeling of a treehouse in the middle of Africa, when we are clearly in the middle of London,” says Hubert Zandberg, the interior designer behind the treehouse's interior aesthetic.
