You'll Be Amazed By What This Photographer Found In A Deserted Soviet Warehouse

This remarkable relic from the Soviet Union's space program was recently uncovered by brave photographer and explorer Ralph Mirebs.

He had no idea was what was in store for him when he made plans to poke around at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, but it looks like he uncovered a true goldmine for space exploration fans.

This above ground hangar was deserted in the early 90s due to the collapse of the Soviet Union. The space shuttle prototype housed inside never fulfilled it's intended destiny to dock with the Soviet Station Mir.

Although the model was never deemed finished before the program was shut down, it did get the chance to complete one test flight. So despite its dilapidated appearance now, this ship remains as one of only five spaceplanes to be flown into space.

Discovering this space exploration graveyard like this is any good urban explorer's dream! Mirebs was able to walk the catwalks, peak inside the machinery, and even get inside the spacecrafts.

This is what he found.....I'm incredibly jealous!

An amazing discovery don't you think?
