21 Rarely Seen Behind The Scenes Photos From Classic Movies

Making a feature film not only involves a massive amount of work, dedication and patience both from the director and actors, but also the crew and everyone in between. As they saying goes ‘Time is money’ the longer a movie takes to shoot, the more it costs the movie studios to produce.

Due to that, there’s a tangible feeling of pressure on most film sets, a push to get the scene shot in as few a takes as possible, to get the delivery, pitches and lines correct at the first attempt and to keep the costs all within budget.

It’s no wonder then, that in between scenes or at the end of the day, actors and crew members like to blow off all that tension by having a laugh or acting up at the end of the day.

Adding a sense of levity to the proceedings makes for a vastly more enjoyable atmosphere all round. That’s especially true when the subject matter of a movie might be serious in tone, such as in horror or thrillers.

So come with us as we look these candid moments, taken behind the scenes on the sets of some of the most iconic and loved films in the history of cinema.
