Pixelstick: An Amazing Device That Lets You Paint With Light

Pixelstick: An Amazing Device That Lets You Paint With Light

Imagine how cool it would be, if you could actually 'paint' with light. We're not talking about madly dashing a sparkler around on New Years Eve and trying to quick write you're name, we're talking images created in say Photoshop, displayed in colour right in the middle of thin air.

Just like this...

Well, two inventors Duncan Frazier and Steve McGuigan from BitBanger Labs are hoping to make that concept a reality. They already have a prototype that works. It's called 'PixelStick', a long-exposure device that allows you to project digital images (up to several thousand pixels wide) wherever and however you like. The possibilities are limitless, any digital image can be recreated using 198 full-colour LEDs, in fact the only limit is really your imagination.

The guys are currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, so if you want to open up a world of colour, shapes and creativity, send them a few dollars if you can, to help them on their way.
