With daily life evolving at breakneck speed, it’s very easy to overlook and simply forget our past.
The focus is on the present and now more than ever, the future. But it’s a future that might have remarkably different for those living in the UK today, had it not been for the incredible efforts of the individuals who fought for their country from 1939 to 1945 in World War 2.
Acclaimed British photographer Konstantin Suslov is making sure his fellow countrymen don’t forget the individuals whom they owe their current freedom and prosperity to – the war veterans themselves.
“In the light of the 65th Anniversary of the end of war, I felt that it was a timely moment to create a documental historical record of people across the world who were once united under the banner of the World War Two. The record that will endure the memory of those great individuals who fought 65 years ago for my generation and many generations to come.”
Incredible men and women, deservingly captured in a series of striking portraits that represent some of our greatest traits – bravery, loyalty, determination, resolve & dedication. What do these photographs say to you? How do they make you feel?
