Remember the stunning photographic series of These 4 Sisters Were Photographed Every Year For 36 Years? Well here’s the modern-day equivalent. Created over 4 compelling minutes, is a video called ‘Danielle‘, it documents the beginnings of ones childhood through to the physical changes of old age.
It’s the brainchild of film-maker Anthony Cerniello who utilised the portrait photography of Keith Sirchio and then enlisted the help of visual artists Nathan Meier, Edmund Earle, and George Cuddy to build the digital manipulations that create the ageing effect between the photographs.
I attempted to create a person in order to emulate the aging process. The idea was that something is happening but you can’t see it but you can feel it, like aging itself.
The final result is an eerie look at the inescapable ageing process, one we’re all currently part of.
