Say hello to Eric Liot, a former freelancer designer and now much-loved / sought after Parisian artist.
Taking countless elements from the world of movies, comic books, childhood toys and anime cartoons, he amalgamates them all into a series of vibrant love heart collages. Their creation involved countless hours with glue guns, hammers and nails all helping to fixed each piece in place – just like a giant jigsaw puzzle. the likes of which Andy Warhol would surely approve of.
When finally assembled, they form a statement about how opulent & consumer focused we’ve become as a society, highlighting our obsession with constantly congratulating ourselves. Or you could take them at face value, as a series of charming, creative & energetic works reflecting our passion for escapism & entertainment.
Either way we think they’re great (surely the likes of Andy Warhol would?!) and we hope you do too.
In the meantime you can find out more & support Eric’s lively work right here
