She doesn’t have the most orignal name, but Goatee the female goat certainly has a life unlike any of her four-legged counterparts.

She’s the pet of Dana McGregor, an avid surfer at Grover Beach California, who originally bought her to munch on the weeds in his garden. But one day, he thought she should accompany him down to the beach for a bit of fun – after all, it’s not everyday you get to see a goat bouncing around on the sand is it?

But after a few visits, low and behold she’s now a regular surfer – much to her enjoyment, she creates attention & laughter amongst the sun-baked locals and startled tourists.

Dana McGregor says: “I just think it’s all hilarious. It’s just funny. Going with her everywhere and friends calling me up everywhere and just going, your goats famous…  You know it hasn’t gotten to her head yet. She doesn’t even know it and that’s probably a good thing.”
