Church Soaked With Colour & Transformed Into Pop Art

Your local church, rich in tradition and history – yes! A place for vibrant colours and outlandish ideas? Not so much.

But if you’re the church in Ward 6 located in Washington D.C. you’re a combination of both and it’s all thanks for the magnificent work of modern-day artists & painter Hense.

He took the neutral colours of the church and splashed with rich amber, yellows, reds and neon pinks to create a quite breath-taking piece of modern art. He’s transformed a place of contemplation and isolation and injected a sense of fun, irreverence and energy into it.

If you didn’t notice or know about the church before, you most certainly will now. You can see more of Hense‘s work via his official site & the projects he’s currently working on.

In the meantime why not give him some suggestions for future buildings to paint? Leave a comment below with which landmarks in your local area you’d like to see given the pop art treatment!
