Let’s face it, the internet is run by cats – take them off the interwebs and there would simply be no reason to go on the internet anymore.
Well, over in Fukuoka, Japan, cats once again are taking over – this time on a small island known to locals as ‘Cat Heaven’. Everywhere you look, you’ll see our feline friends, despite being semi-wild they’re all quite approachable and friendly, fed and looked after by local fisherman and the odd tourist. From rooftops, to beaches, from alleyways to the village port not a day goes by without you running into a bevy of furry felines.
Versatile and talented photographer Fubirai has spent a staggering 5 years capturing and documenting their lives, routines and habits on the island and today we’re proud to show some examples of his wonderful work and heart-warming photographs.
