Even as an adult, we all love Dinosaurs – but if you were like me as a kid growing up in the 80′s, you were pretty much obsessed with them. After all, there’s a reason why they made 3 Jurassic Park movies – because they knew the entire world would go watch them!
For many of us, one of the earliest memories of dinosaurs was in fact the introduction in 1988 of Dinosaurs Attack! is a trading card series created by Topps. It had a limited run, containing 55 cards and 11 sticker cards – you even got some awful chewing gum to annoy your parents in each pack.
Each individual card depicts the story of dinosaurs transported through time into the present day through a freak accident (which they never explained) and wreaking havoc on Earth. But looking back at these cards now, it’s truly amazing how bloodthirsty, violent and gory they truly are.
You’d be hard press to find anything like them in circulation these days on account of parental censorship and overt political correctness – but back in the late 80′s it was literally no-holds barred. Here’s a few of our personal favs, we hope you enjoy them and whilst you’re at it, do leave us a comment telling us your favourite dinosaurs – after all, everybody has one!
