Former LA stripper now turned rapper Brooke Candy just launched her debut track ‘Das Me’ – and trust us, it’s going to get the masses talking.
She’s best known for her role in Grimes’ ‘Genesis‘ video, which turned her into an instant icon almost overnight. Now she’s stepping out on her own terms, armed with 30 inch braids, foot-high custom platforms, nails that defy belief & her unique blend of brattish, offensive & raw social commentary. Imagine the sound of M.I.A., the fashion of Lady Gaga and the attitude of Ke$ha and you’re getting there.
The video is her world on over-drive, from gliding down Rodeo Drive on the roof of a pink limo shocking onlookers, to popping pills & pouring champagne all over herself in the middle of an orgy, to being pushed around in a golden wheelchair wearing golden platforms, it’s a heady concoction of excess, trashbaggery and glorious fun.
“I’m a mob boss, take a knife to your dick, Imma cut you fucking lots” she spits before adding “Candy is my name but there’s nothing sweet about me.” – which is good to know.
At age 23, there’s probably a lot more where that came from.
