We love the devious and satirical work of illustrator and author Bob Staake. He’s the character behind these parodies of classic children’s books which were first printed during the 1940’s/1960’s. He’s called the series “Bad Little Children’s Books” although you probably wouldn’t want your kids to be reading them!
He does have a lighter side too, having illustrated 17 New Yorker covers and been the author of more than 60 children’s books. Their titles & illustrations aren’t quite as cheeky as those we’re about to feature below, but you can find out more about them here.
