Retired Airplanes Transformed Into Epic Works Of Art

What happens when the humble Jumbo Jet & its friends end up being decommissioned?

Well, many end up on the scrap heap destined to rust for eternity - but a few have been lucky enough to be part of the The Boneyard Project in Arizona.

Taking place earlier this year, Eric Firestone, Carlo McCormick & Medvin Sobioa sourced a collective group of artists to rework, repaint and reimagine these huge redundant machines into epic works of art.

The results are pretty spectacular, it makes you wonder why more corporate airlines don't commission custom designs from some of their flagship flights.

We'd rather take a trip in one of these babies that a vanilla tube of steel any day - wouldn't you?
