Colourful Cats – The Art Of Painted Kitties

Alex Wain September 11, 2012 0

Illustrator Heather Busch & writer Burton Silver (who clearly share the same sense of humor) recently collaborated over their love of cats and art by creating a book titled Why Paint Cats: The Ethics of Feline Aesthetics.

In the book they take every day furry felines and using some Photoshop magic, individually colour sections of fur to create these hilarious and wonderfully colourful cat portraits. They are so realistic that at times it looks like the cats themselves have been painted! But rest assured no kitty was harmed during the creative process.

Here’s few images from the book, which are as creative as they are amusing, we hope you enjoy them and if you do, make sure you support Burton & Heather’s work by purchasing the book here
