Famous Musicians Recreated From Their Greatest Hits CDs

Famous Musicians Recreated From Their Greatest Hits CDs

Advertising agency TBWA have created a new campaign titled Piracy, which aims to showcase that some of the world's most iconic and best loved musicians, were robbed of their on-going success due to music piracy. It took Italian visual artists Mirco Pagano and Moreno De Turco a staggering 6,500 CDs and 200 hours to create the project.

It's slightly strange that as part of the campaign, they've chosen the likes of Jim Morrison, Bob Marley, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis and Freddie Mercury, artist whom were arguabley the most successful in an era before file-sharing and global music piracy even existed.

Either way, the overall aesthetic of the campaign created by Mirco Pagano and Moreno De Turco is fantastic in its execution and whilst the over-arching message is somewhat lost, you can't deny that in their own right they are incredibly inventive works of art.
