Lewis Carroll’s tale of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has served as the inspiration of countless artists around the world. Movies have been made & artworks have been created which all pay tribute to the eclectic and unique characters which Lewis Carroll dreamed up.
But visual artist & avid Alice in Wonderland fan Elena Kalis takes an entirely unique approach with her interpretation of the story. She’s created a quite beautiful series of photographs as part of her Alice in Waterland and Looking Glass collection, where she photographs the tales and adventures of Alice literally underwater. As your about to see, her work has an almost dream-like quality to them and we’re sure if Carroll was around today to witness them, he’s certainly be a huge fan himself.
