As technology, research and even the materials involved in Formula One racing have developed and evolved over time, so too has the design and shapes of the cars themselves. With each new iteration, they become leaner, meaner, faster and more fuel efficient.

He’s also created an infographic where the cars are grouped into decades, around the track you can follow various innovations and driver aids, some which became banned. Top right is steering wheel development.
