Stunning Sculptures That Look Like Clothes

Artist Alexander Seton’s exhibition ‘Elegy of Resistance’ is an ode to the hoodie, a piece of clothing commonly burdened with negative connotations.

Seton uses marble to capture and immortalise this menacing image and to challenge not only this misconception but also the soft appearance contradicts the hard medium of the sculpture itself. Whilst the works are carved out of stone they appear soft and flexible as if they were in fact like the hoodie on your cupboard.

The temporary is made solid and permanent.
