Whilst the tales of King Arthur and The Knights Of The Round Table have been consigned to the back pages of history and myth, in recent times though there’s been a surge in the retelling of those tales and feats of valour. The latest is obviously the hugely success medieval drama Game Of Thrones, which borrows heavily from countless real-life battles and historical facts.
But whilst the world is now watching newly appropriated and re-imagined tales of blood lust, bravery, corruption and power – the original elements of war are preserved in castles, museums throughout the world.
