Some people can’t bear the thought of being without their favourite furry friend……even in death.

That’s when taxidermy comes in, a practice (some would say art form) of permanently stuffing a dead animal so that it can remain suspended in its physical form long after death.

Thanks to the powers of taxidermy, you too could put your cat Mr Bigglesworth on the mantelpiece for the entire family to admire.

For most, the entire concept of having a dead animal glare back at you is rather morbid. But as you’re about to see from these examples, morbid can very quickly turn into creepy – especially when a bad or cheap taxidermy job has been carried out.

But props to Chuck Testa, a taxidermy expert who’s promotional video went viral and hit a massive 11 million views on YouTube – at least you know if you hire him, they won’t end up looking like these horrendous creations!
