Like all great artists, Cecilia Paredes gets lost in her work……..literally. Similar in style to Liu Bolin (another invisible artist) Peruvian artist Paredes fuses together a combination of breath-taking costumes, patterns, body-paint and countless materials to literally make herself become one with her artwork.
Inventive, dedicated and requiring a tremendous amount of skill – the following portraits of her work are as mesmerising as they are intriguging.
Of her motivations Cecilia says
“The theme behind all is re-location after displacement and migration and how one has to adjust in order to belong. Tough it is, but it has to be done, without forgetting our origin.”
