Introducing: Blindness – Confessions (VIDEO)

We get a few requests for features here at SBSG and every once in a while something comes into our inbox that really makes us sit up and take notice. This week, it’s the band Blindness and their track ‘Confessions’. They’re a new outfit, but as you’re about to hear, one with a bright future ahead of them.

WHO?

Blindness are a 4 piece haling from London & feature Debbie Smith (she’s the talented former guitarist and bassist for Curve & Echobelly.) in their ranks. On the basis of their latest track ‘Confessions’, they’re a group that are going to be making a serious impact in the coming months.

SO WHAT DO THEY SOUND LIKE?

A glorious whirlwind of brooding Brit-Pop, driving bass lines, shimmering vocals thick with reverb & swirling discordant guitars. Imagine the bastard child of Portishead, Placebo Garbage & Jesus & Mary Chain and you’re getting there.

ANY VIDEOS?

Just the one so far, but it certainly got our attention. The ominous  “Confessions” although we have to admit, the cat cameo at the start is more than a little random.

WHAT’S THEIR LATEST RELEASE?

Their brand new debut EP titled “Confessions” is out now.

WHERE CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THEM?
